JACK WHITE No Name (2024 UK/EU limited edition 13-track LP pressed on Black Vinyl. Jack White's back in a big, big way! Here he slides back into the raw, blown outgaragerock that he's so well known for and mandoes it sound good. The riffs are piled high all over this album and he's never sounded so urgent and utterly relevant. Everything distorts in just the right places and the hooks are guaranteed tostayin your head for a long, long time. He's stripped everything back and come back bigger, badder and better than ever. Picture sleeve with lyric insert. The sleeve and vinyl show just light signs of wear and play)TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATIONThe title of the album is indeed No Name — a title that was printed on the white-label copies that he gave away, although it previously wasn't clear if that was the actual title or cheeky placeholder. The liner notes reveal that much of the album was performed alongside bassist Dominic David and drummer Patrick Keeler (the latter of whom is in the Raconteurs), although there are a few other players as well. White's teenage daughter Scarlett (who has played with her dad before) handles bass on "Archbishop Harold Holmes" and "Underground," while his wife Olivia Jean plays bass on "Old Scratch Blues" and drums on "That's How I'm Feeling." The album was produced by White himself, and mixed by White alongside Bill Skibbe. It's dedicated to various people, including Mia Goth.Side One1. Old Scratch Blues2. Bless Yourself3.
