A quality synthetic sash brush set (also known as the round head brush) from Cottam comprising of four brushes in total. A 15 MM, 18 MM, 21 MM & 25 MM round pointed sash brush complete the 4 brush set. Sash brushes are ideal on trim, mouldings & other profile areas, such as door mouldings, spindles, pipes windows, windowsills, door frames, skirting boards, etc as the brush does not splay like a flat brush would. The round point of the sash brush profile allows for greater precision and control over a standard flat brush resulting in clean crisp lines and sharp corners when cutting in. The slim, long waxed wooden handle is comfortable to use, allowing the sash brushes to be spun during the paint stroke to maximise the use of the paint loading. This gives longer brush strokes and saves time re-loading the brush. The stainless-steel ferrule is bonded flush to the handle for comfort when using a pencil type grip. The ferrule will withstand cleaning with solvent-based agents and is compatible with trade paint brush holding systems. Each synthetic brush filament is tapered and flagged, resin-set into the ferrule and trimmed to a tapered point. This prevents bristle loss and delivers paint with a fine flat finish. A naturally non-swelling filament (unlike natural bristle) these brushes work extremely well with water-based paints giving fantastic brushstroke-free results. The synthetic filament works equally well in oil-based and water-based paints.
