This M9 x 1.25mm thread repair kit serves a specialised metric thread size found in specific automotive and engineering applications. The M9 thread, whilst less common than M8 or M10, is used in certain European vehicle models and specialist machinery where this precise sizing is required for proper component fitment and thread engagement. The kit creates a stronger internal thread in soft metals, making it ideal for repairing damaged or stripped internal threads in aluminium and other soft alloy components. It protects tapped threads against wear and damage, ensuring repairs that exceed original thread strength. The comprehensive set includes a drill bit, thread tap, insert installation tool, and lug breaking tool, providing all the specialist tools needed for complete thread restoration. Three different lengths of thread insert are supplied to accommodate various thread depths and applications, and the complete kit is supplied in a convenient storage case.
