Escentric 04 100ml is a uniquely fresh interpretation of a sandalwood fragrance, blending crisp, bitter top notes of pink grapefruit peel with an added zest of lime. Juniper and pink pepper give an extra shot of freshness, and the green edge of marijuana brings out the softer quality of the grapefruit pith. At the heart is orris, accompanied by a 'fresh soft rose' composed of four different rose ingredients. The drydown introduces a balsamic, woody base where Javanol mingles with Polysantol, a somewhat sweeter sandalwood molecule, to create a captivating and lingering aroma. "In the other Escentric fragrances, I used a huge amount of the Molecule," says perfumer Geza Schoen. "But Javanol is like truffles, and a few slices of truffle shaved on top of your pasta are enough to transport you to heaven." Consequently, Javanol and Polysantol together make up 15% of Escentric 04 100ml. The grapefruit note bursts forth from the bottle – aromatic, pink, unusual and bold. But never kitsch. The by-product?
